A Whole New Way to Treat Your Child

We created Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care because we realize that most patients waiting in the Emergency Room for treatment are not there for life threatening emergencies, yet still need care that is not available for in most pediatricians office.  For this reason we have assembled a skilled staff, including ER trained, board certified Pediatricians.  We are highly qualified to take care of your minor emergencies.

  • 14 Years Pediatric Emergency Room Experience
  • Graduate of University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio
  • Past-Chair, Bexar County Child Fatality Review Team
  • Past-President, San Antonio Pediatric Society

Mike Cowan, D.O.

Thomas Spurgat, M.D.

  • Board Certified in Pediatrics
  • Eight Years General Pediatrics and Twelve Years Pediatric Emergency Room Experience
  • Director, Christus Santa Rosa Children's Emergency Room for Seven Years
  • Graduate of University of Michigan Medical School
  • Trained at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston.
