What services do you
provide at Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care?
We provide wide-ranging pediatric urgent care services,
including physical exams, x-rays, laceration care with sutures, staples or skin
glue, fracture care, IV fluids, and a wide range of immunizations, including flu
and immunizations required for school.
Do you accept
insurance?
Yes, we are accept most insurance plans.

How much will a visit
cost?
You will be charged your office visit or urgent care co-pay (if you have one) at
the time of visit and the remainder of the charges will be submitted to your
insurance company. This information is different for each insurance plan and
should be listed on your insurance card.
Do I need an appointment?
No, just walk right in.
Do I need a referral from
my child's doctor?
No, because this is urgent care you do not need pre-approval or a referral in
order to be seen.
How are you different from
an emergency room?
We can provide most of the services provided in an emergency room. However, our
costs are much lower and you will spend much less time waiting for care.
All of our physicians are experienced emergency room pediatricians, and can
provide the highest quality care in a kid-friendly environment.
What if my child needs to
be admitted to the hospital?
We will call your physician and make arrangements for your child to be admitted
to the hospital of your choice.
How are you different from
other urgent care centers?
We specialize in meeting the needs of children. Children are our priority. All
of our physicians are Pediatric Specialists, specifically trained to care for
sick or injured children. Our equipment and facilities are designed to meet the
needs of children. In addition, all of our staff has experience caring for
children.
If we have a pediatrician,
can my child still be seen by your doctor?
Yes, we provide the emergency care and then refer you back to your
child's doctor for follow up.
Do you perform
vaccinations?
Yes, we can administer
all vaccinations required for school. We also have flu shots available.
How will I get my
prescription filled at night or on the weekend?
When possible, we will give the first dose of medicine while you are
in the clinic. The prescription can be faxed or called-in to the pharmacy of
your choice. Target, Walgreens and H.E.B. pharmacies are nearby, and are open
until 9:00 pm on weekdays. At other times there are 24 hour pharmacies in
the Medical Center Area.
What age patients do you
see?
We see all children from birth to 21 years of age.
